13 Ambassadors Visit Marina Al Alameen Archeaological Site

Marina Al Alameen received 13 foreign ambassadors and acting ambassadors to inspect the history of the region, and its special antiquities. The visit was organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

They were accompanied with the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Yomna El Bahar, and the Secertary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquties Mohamed Ismail , and several officials.

During the visit, the visitors were introduced to the history of the archaeological site as it represents a great model for the Roman city, and its unique architictural and civil features.

The ambassadors also inspected the developments of the site's services to be a nice destination for tourists. The first stage of the project was concluded.

This site was discovered in 1968, and it dated back to Greek and Roman periods. It included several buildings and services like stores, funeral buildings, Roman Bath, and water containers.
