Zoughaib Denies Rumours of Selling Fake Jewelry, His Escape to Australia

Over the last few days, it was reported that Michel Zoughaib, owner of the world-renowned Zoughaib & Co. Jewelry, had sold fake diamonds to his Lebanese clients and several Arab celebrities and then escaped to Australia along with his family.

The news of Zoughaib's escape has flooded the social media platforms while the company, in an official statement, denied all these rumours and confirmed that they are totally baseless.

It had also decided to file a lawsuit against those who stood behind spreading such fake news, confirming that they only seek to defame the company.

According to the company's statement, Zoughaib hasn't left Lebanon adding, that his wife and daughter travelled to Australia a year and a half ago since the daughter is pursuing university studies there.

It noted that replacing diamonds with glass is a criminal offence, and the company has initiated judicial procedures to refute these rumours, prosecute the perpetrator and clarify the truth.

The company added that it has many branches either in Lebanon or abroad, confirming that it hasn't received any complaint from its clients regarding the false news was published through the fake accounts.

Michel also appeared in a video on his official YouTube account, confirming his presence in Lebanon and denied selling jewellery to Arab celebrities.
