Zoom Registers 100 Million Users in Three Weeks

Zoom Video Communications Inc. has revealed that about 100 million users have used its videotelephony service in just 22 days.

The tech company stated that more than 300 million are using the Zoom application daily, explaining that the number of users increased 50% within three weeks.

From firms, to politicians, schools, and organizations, millions around the world, who work from homes, after imposing a worldwide lockdown, use the application to communicate together.

The company indicated that it is in the process of updating the cryptographic properties in its application, to overcome security concerns, amid a big jump in the number of users.

Zoom has faced a number of criticisms from cyber security experts and users, due to coding gaps.

Meantime, Zoom share price increased by 18.84% to $169.09 after announcing the new number of users

Google Meet and Microsoft Teams already offer a comprehensive video-meeting service, yet, after Zoom integrates with Otter.ai it can catch up to competitors.

Zoom is an American communications tech company headquartered in California. It was founded by Eric, a Chinese-American businessman, in 2011.
