On Saturday, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Sweden for a visit during which he is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Olof Kristersson, members of the royal family, and other officials.

Zelenskyy's visit aims to express gratitude for Sweden's support of Ukraine amidst the ongoing Russian conflict.

In a post on the Telegram platform announcing his arrival in Sweden, Zelenskyy stated, "Our main mission is to strengthen the Ukrainian forces on land and air, enhance bilateral cooperation, especially in the defense sector, and promote European integration in alignment with Ukraine's position and collective security within the Euro-Atlantic region," according to Reuters.

Earlier, Ukrainian authorities reported that Russia launched drone attacks on areas in the north, central, and southern parts of the country in the early hours of Saturday, causing damage to civilian infrastructure in at least two regions.

The Ukrainian Air Force in Kyiv revealed that the military had successfully downed 15 out of 17 Iranian-manufactured "Shahid" drones launched by Russia. These actions are part of Moscow's ongoing aerial assaults on Ukraine.
