Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Donetsk region located in the eastern part of the country, positioned on the frontline facing Russian forces.

The visit comes following a series of tactical successes achieved by Kyiv in its ongoing counteroffensive against the Russian military presence.

President Zelensky's visit was announced through a post on the popular messaging application "Telegram," accompanied by a video showing him in the company of Ukrainian soldiers.

In his statement, Zelensky emphasized, "We are visiting the combat brigades that are defending Ukraine as part of the Donetsk Operational and Tactical Group." The details of his interactions with the soldiers were not explicitly mentioned.

During his visit, Zelenskyy addressed crucial matters pertaining to the ongoing conflict. He discussed important reports, highlighted issues requiring attention, and stressed the need to enhance supplies and establish an efficient supply management system for the brigades.

Additionally, he underscored the importance of boosting motivation among the fighters engaged in the defense efforts.

This inspection visit comes shortly after Zelenskyy's announcement of his intention to dismiss Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, who has held the position since the commencement of the conflict.

The decision to replace the defense minister reflects a strategic move aimed at optimizing the management of the defense forces during this critical phase.
