On Saturday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy held an hour-long conversation with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, to discuss the situation on the front and defense cooperation between the two countries.
“In an hour-long conversation with Emmanuel Macron, the defense interaction between Ukraine and France was effectively discussed,” the Ukrainian President wrote on Telegram.
Zelenskyy indicated that they focused separately on the "Peace Formula" and other steps toward its implementation.
On March 25, He said Kyiv is currently unable to launch a counterattack due to a lack of weapons.
"We can't start yet. We can't send our brave soldiers to the front line without tanks, artillery, and HIMARS (multiple launch rocket systems)," Zelenskyy said in an interview with the Yomiuri Shimbun.
He added that Ukraine is currently awaiting the supply of weapons from its partners and that the situation in the east of the country is "unfavorable".
