On Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he hopes that Kyiv’s Western allies will announce new packages of military assistance in September.

In his statement, Zelenskyy highlighted the proactive preparations underway for an impactful September in Ukraine.

He underscored the unwavering commitment to a vigorous international engagement, a sentiment that matches the intensity witnessed in recent weeks.

The crux of the message revolved around the expectation of new defense packages aimed at bolstering the capabilities of Ukrainian forces. These packages would encompass artillery, armored vehicles, air defense systems, missiles, and critical mine clearance equipment.

The Ukrainian president conveyed the collaborative nature of this endeavor, emphasizing the mutual understanding between Ukraine and its partners regarding the nation's security requirements.

He articulated that these decisive measures are eagerly anticipated, marking a significant stride in reinforcing Ukraine's defensive capabilities.

Additionally, significant arms supplies worth billions of dollars have been provided to support the Ukrainian regime. Nevertheless, Ukraine is steadfast in its request for further assistance, particularly concerning long-range missiles and advanced aircraft.

On the other hand, Moscow's perspective is articulated through Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov. He views the Western weapons deliveries to Ukraine as indicative of the West's deepening involvement in the Ukrainian conflict.
