Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has denied claims that Kyiv attempted to target the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region, describing the accusations as part of Moscow’s efforts to undermine ongoing diplomatic progress.
In a statement, Zelenskyy said Russia is seeking to derail recent advances in Ukrainian-American talks by circulating what he called unfounded allegations. He warned that Moscow may be preparing to launch strikes against several government buildings in Kyiv.
The Ukrainian leader urged U.S. President Donald Trump and European partners to respond firmly to Russia’s claims, affirming the need to prevent further escalation based on what he described as disinformation.
Zelenskyy's remarks come amid heightened tensions between Moscow and Kyiv, as diplomatic channels involving Washington continue alongside ongoing military confrontations.
