Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for serious talks with Moscow, warning against 'long-term losses'.

Serious talks on peace and security are "the only chance for Russia to minimize the damage from its mistakes," Zelenskyy said in a video posted online.

"It is time to meet and speak. It is time to restore territorial integrity and justice to Ukraine," he noted, adding, “I want to be heard by everyone, especially in Moscow.”

The Ukrainian prosecutor general’s office said on Saturday that 112 children have been killed so far in the war in Ukraine.

It also said on Telegram that 140 children had been wounded.

“The highest number of victims are in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kherson, Mykolayiv, and Zhytomyr regions,” it said in a statement.

On the other hand, Russia denied targeting civilians in what it calls a “special operation” to emilitarize and “deNazify” Ukraine.

Yesterday, two children were killed and two more were wounded in Russia’s shelling of civil infrastructure facilities in the Mykolaiv Region.

Due to bombardments and shelling, 379 educational institutions were damaged, and 59 of them were destroyed completely. Most destructions were reported in the Donetsk Region (119 educational institutions), Mykolaiv Region (30), Sumy Region (28), Kyiv Region (35), Kherson Region (21), and the city of Kyiv (24).

The final data has yet to be reported, as it is impossible to inspect certain areas where active hostilities are underway.
