Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Greece on Monday for an official visit aimed at conducting discussions with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The meeting is set to address bilateral matters of mutual interest.
The office of the Greek Prime Minister issued an official statement indicating that Zelenskyy and Mitsotakis will convene at 18:10 local time at the Megaro Maximou residence (Maximos Palace).
Following this, a second meeting between the heads of the two nations will take place, accompanied by an extended session attended by diplomatic delegations from both sides.
Press statements are anticipated from both parties following the conclusion of these meetings. Later in the evening, President Zelenskyy will participate in an informal dinner hosted by Prime Minister Mitsotakis at Maximos Palace.
The event will include leaders from Western Balkan nations, regional countries, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and European Council President Charles Michel.
Zelenskyy's visit to Greece follows his meeting with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Denmark on Sunday. The discussions focused on the potential supply of American-made F-16 fighter jets to Kiev.
Earlier, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its willingness to dispatch F-16 fighter aircraft to Ukraine once conditions allow.
Similarly, Zelenskyy previously announced that the Netherlands will provide Ukraine with 42 F-16 fighter jets.
The White House confirmed that Ukraine will receive US-made F-16 fighter jets from third-party countries upon the completion of training for Ukrainian pilots.
Previously, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned that the United States and its NATO allies were creating the risk of direct armed confrontation with Russia, a situation fraught with catastrophic consequences.
He noted that Russia would perceive Kyiv's acquisition of fighter jets capable of carrying nuclear weapons as a Western nuclear threat.
