On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Canada for the first time since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
Zelensky started his activities in Canada by delivering a speech in the Canadian Parliament.
The Ukrainian President thanked the Canadians for supporting Ukraine, especially, those who immigrated to Canada to escape the war.
"Freedom will be the winner, justice will be the winner. You know this for sure about us because you know for sure about yourself that you would never submit.."
He concluded: "Merci Canada," before receiving huge applause.
Then, Zelensky and Canadian Prime President Justin Trudeau had a joint press conference after their meeting where they signed a new free trade agreement.
Trudeau asserted that he discussed financial, military, and humanitarian needs for Ukraine with Zelensky.
Moreover, both talked about the additional aid of Canada to Ukraine, and Trudeau pledged to help train pilots, and provide Ukraine with high-resolution camera drones.
Zelensky's visit to Ukraine came a few hours of his visit to the US, and meeting President Joe Biden.
