Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that replacing him "won't be easy" as the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump seeks his removal for refusing to yield to Moscow's demands.

Speaking to the press in London, Zelensky, who has remained in military attire since the war began in February 2022, said, "Given the circumstances and the support we have, simply replacing me won’t be that easy."

Last week, Trump accused Zelensky of being a "dictator" for not holding elections that were postponed due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

According to Al Arabiya, Zelensky added, "It won’t just be about organizing elections; they would also have to prevent me from running, which would be a bit more complicated."

The Ukrainian president also recalled that he had previously offered to resign in exchange for Ukraine’s NATO membership. "If NATO membership is secured and the war ends, it means I have fulfilled my mission," he said on Sunday evening.
