Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with New Zealand Prime Minister (PM) Chris Hepkins cooperation in defense sector and humanitarian issues.
"Had a phone call with New Zealand PM Chris Hipkins. Thanked for participation in training our military. We count on its continuation and further cooperation on defense and humanitarian issues. Discussed the importance of consolidating the countries of the Pacific region to support Ukraine," Zelensky tweeted.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov met with New Zealand Defense Minister Andrew Little, where they discussed additional ways to enhance cooperation between both countries.
On the other hand, the US Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, thanked the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces for its role in protecting Ukrainian airspace during the Russian missile attack.
"Russia again launched missiles in the deep of night at Ukrainian cities where civilians, including children, should be able to sleep safely and peacefully," Brink tweeted.
" I am grateful for those who protect Ukraine’s skies, and the United States will continue to work hard and fast to support them and their ability to defeat Russia’s barbaric attacks on the people of Ukraine," he added.
