Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization "NATO" refuses to admit Ukraine's request to join the alliance because they are afraid of Russia, according to urgent news broadcast by Al-Arabiya TV a short time ago.

The Ukrainian president added that a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin was necessary "in any way" to stop the war.

"The meeting with Vladimir Putin is necessary to determine Russia's position on ending the war," the Ukrainian president continued.

Zelensky noted that no immediate decision could be taken regarding the occupied Ukrainian territories.

It is worth noting that Russian troops swept over Ukrainian territories on February 24.
