Zelensky Invites Iraqi PM to Visit Kyiv

Iraqi Prime Minister (PM) Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani, received an official invitation from Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, to visit Kyiv.

"The Iraqi Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, met Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, on the sidelines of his participation in the 32nd Arab Summit, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)," according to Iraqi News Agency (ING). 

Moreover, the meeting also witnessed discussions on bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance the course of cooperation in areas that serve mutual interests.

On his part, Al-Sudani stressed the need to adopt diplomatic methods and give an opportunity for dialogue to reach a peaceful solution in Ukraine, establish security and peace, and avoid further escalation.

In turn, the Ukrainian President affirmed his country's keenness to develop cooperation between the two countries and ways to consolidate it in several fields.

He also invited Iraqi PM to visit Ukraine, praising Iraq's pivotal role in the region and its efforts to support its security and stability.
