On the fourth anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky called for a definitive date for his country’s accession to the European Union.
In a video address to the European Parliament on Tuesday, Zelensky stated: "It is vital for us to obtain a clear date for joining the European Union; it is a matter of utmost importance as part of the ongoing diplomatic process aimed at ending the war."
Zelensky expressed his gratitude to the European Union for maintaining a firm stance against the Russian military operation throughout these years.
He emphasized the necessity for the EU to sustain this position, warning that the danger has not diminished.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian President thanked all nations that have supported his country over the past four years, particularly those that bolstered Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and defense systems.
