Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed Ukraine's military development needs with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue defense forum in Singapore, as Zelensky wrote in a Facebook post, according to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.
Zelensky stated, "We discussed key issues: our country's defense needs, enhancing Ukraine's air defense system, the F-16 aircraft alliance, and the drafting of a bilateral security agreement."
Zelensky also expressed gratitude to US President Joe Biden for making an important decision regarding directing US weapons strikes inside Russian territory to effectively counter Russian attempts to expand the conflict zone.
