Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Wednesday that he has accepted a U.S. proposal to hold another round of talks next week in the United States aimed at ending the war with Russia.
According to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, Zelensky stated that the next round of peace negotiations is scheduled for next Tuesday or Wednesday.
However, he noted that it remains unclear whether Russia will agree to participate in these talks on U.S. soil.
Regarding the American proposal to establish a free economic zone as a buffer area in the eastern Donetsk region, Zelensky remarked that both Ukraine and Russia are unenthusiastic about the idea.
He further explained that his country holds different views and perspectives on this specific matter.
