President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has pledged to address corruption in Ukraine's military recruitment centers following an audit that uncovered "revolting" practices.
Zelenskiy expressed his outrage at the corruption exposed during the audit and promised to appoint people who understand the value of protecting Ukraine to fix the system.
The investigation is part of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to root out corruption, a critical issue as the country aims to join NATO and the European Union.
Zelenskiy has promised to make all the findings of the investigation public and subject to criminal proceedings. One military recruitment center official accused of corruption and embezzlement has already been ordered held in pre-trial detention.
