The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema will visit the country starting next Sunday and continuing until Saturday, September 16.
“During President Hichilema’s visit, the two heads of state will hold discussions and attend a signing ceremony of cooperation documents,” ministry spokeswoman Mao Naing told a regular briefing.
The Zambian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Hichilema and Chinese President Xi Jinping will sign several bilateral agreements, including cooperation and economic investment. They will also discuss Chinese investment in Zambia in the fields of energy, mining and infrastructure.
