Zamalek Crowned Confederation Cup Champion

Zamalek SC managed to win the Confederation Cup for the first time in their history after securing a victory in a dramatic penalty shootout against RS Berkane at Burj Al Arab Stadium (5-3).

The Whites managed to score the goal after VAR showed that they were entitled for a penalty that revived their hopes.

It is worth mentioning that the Moroccan team managed to defeat the White Knights with 1 -0 in the first leg of the Confederation Cup final.

Zamalek qualified for the final for the first time in their history after holding Etoile Sahel to a 0-0 draw. The White Knights took advantage of the result of the first-leg after Kahraba scored the single goal of the match which proved to be a decisive one, while RS Berkane of Morocco advanced after managing to overturn their 2-0 deficit from CS Sfaxien of Tunis with an unanswered three-goal in Morocco.
