A source inside Zamalek's club said on Monday the White Knights' board of directors' are waiting for Jesualdo Ferreira's response to to fill their vacant managerial seat.
Patrice Carteron had left the African Super Cup champions after he suddenly terminated his contract with the Whites.
On Sunday, Zamalek's chairman Mortada Mansour said that there are negotiations made with a "great coach" as he consulted his assistants to take the final decision.
The source said that the management is waiting for Ferreira's response as he is considering the clubs' position and goals in the CAF Champions League and in the other competitions.
He also added that the Portuguese manager will inform the management with his final decision during the upcoming hours.
