The Egyptian Red Crescent launched on Sunday the "Zad Al-Izza: From Egypt to Gaza" convoy 170, carrying a fleet of urgent humanitarian aid trucks toward the Gaza Strip as part of its ongoing efforts as the national mechanism for coordinating aid.

The convoy included approximately 3,290 tons of comprehensive humanitarian assistance, consisting of more than 1,180 tons of food parcels, around 650 tons of relief materials, and nearly 1,460 tons of petroleum products required to operate hospitals and vital facilities within the Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent also bolstered the delivery of essential winter supplies to mitigate the impact of severe weather conditions currently affecting the region. These supplies included 3,640 pieces of winter clothing, over 3,930 mattresses, approximately 3,456 tarpaulins, and more than 1,000 tents to provide shelter for those displaced or affected.

In a related context, the Egyptian Red Crescent continued its humanitarian mission by receiving the 30th batch of Palestinian wounded, sick, and injured individuals, along with their companions.

The organization facilitated transit procedures while providing hot meals, heavy clothing, and personal care supplies, in addition to distributing "return bags" to those heading back into the Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has been stationed at the border since the beginning of the crisis, noting that the Rafah crossing has never been closed from the Egyptian side.

It maintains full readiness across all its logistics centers, with total humanitarian and relief aid delivered exceeding 800,000 tons through the dedicated efforts of more than 65,000 volunteers.
