The humanitarian aid convoy "Zad Al-Izza: From Egypt to Gaza" resumed its entry to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, following a two-day halt on Friday and Saturday due to the weekend.
The trucks moved through the sub-gate of the Rafah land port in North Sinai toward the Kerem Shalom crossing to prepare for their entry into the Strip.
An official source stated that the 143rd batch of humanitarian and relief aid trucks has begun moving from the Rafah land port to the Kerem Shalom crossing, located southeast of the Gaza Strip.
The source noted that the aid trucks undergo inspection by Israeli occupation authorities at Kerem Shalom before finally entering the Strip to reach the Palestinian people.
It is worth mentioning that, Israeli occupation forces had closed the crossings connecting to the Gaza Strip since March 2, 2025, following the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement and the failure to reach a permanent settlement.
The truce was breached by heavy aerial bombardment on March 18, 2025, followed by renewed ground incursions into various areas of the Gaza Strip from which the forces had previously withdrawn.
