YouTube suspended on Tuesday President Donald Trump’s channel for seven days, and removed a video uploaded to the President channel because it violated the site’s policy and incited violence.

“Given the ongoing concerns about violence, we will also be indefinitely disabling comments on President Trump’s channel, as we’ve done to other channels where there are safety concerns found in the comments section,” YouTube said.

YouTube’s move comes after Twitter last Friday permanently banned Trump, citing the potential risk from trump supporters. Trump’s accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch and other platforms also have been indefinitely or permanently blocked.

Out going U.S. president Trump

On past Wednesday, supporters of Trump stormed a congressional session held to endorse Joe Biden’s victory, as a last-minute desperate attempt by Trump to reverse his election loss led to chaos and accusations of an attempted “coup.”

Officials at the U.S. Capitol building announced the closure, and lawmakers said on Twitter that they were sheltering in their offices, as protesters – some of them carrying Trump flags – were seen walking through the building.
