The Arab and African Platform for Youth Volunteers and Entrepreneurs started its tourist program with a visit to the Pyramides on Saturday.
The platform is taking place until the 26th of April with the participation of the following countries: Egypt (the host country), Zambia, Mauritania, South Sudan, Malawi, Uganda, Djibouti, Nigeria, Gabon, Ghana, Benin, UAE, Bahrain, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Algeria, Palestine, Oman, Jordan, Iraq, Comoros, and Somalia.

In the evening, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs celebrated the platform's opening ceremony.
The Platform's Opening Ceremony
The ceremony was attended by the Egyptian Minister of Sports and Youth Ashraf Sobhy, Jordan Minister of Culture and Youth Mohammed Suleiman Aburman, Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Riad Taleb, Head of the Arab Voluntary Union Hassan Bou Hazzaa, and the Union's General Secretary Al Sayed Abdel Razik Al Mrisi.

It started with a film about Egypt. Afterward, films about the Union's activities and the Egyptian Ministry's activities in volunteerism were screened. The opening concluded with a musical performance presented by the Egyptian Ministry's Orquestra.
Ashraf Sobhy's Speech
In this regard, Sobhy expressed, "The platform is happening parallel to Egypt's presidency to the African Union. This program aims to exchange experiences in the fields of volunteerism and entrepreneurship, bearing in mind that the Egyptian leadership is keen on enhancing the relations with the Arab and African countries."

He added, "We will study the programs' initiatives and see what we could implement."
