Yedioth Ahronoth (Ynet), an Israeli daily newspaper, quoted military sources as saying that the Israeli attack on the city of Jenin and its camp had failed and that the implementation of a new military operation there was "inevitable."

The military sources confirmed that the Palestinian resistance in Jenin is continuing its arming efforts, including improvised explosive devices.

However, the sources confirmed that the new military operation would be "on a limited scale."

Yedioth Ahronoth added that the Israeli army monitored that the Palestinian militants in Jenin camp are trying to rebuild their forces after the recent military operation, with a focus on infrastructure, manufacturing and planting powerful explosive devices and renewing armaments.

On July 3, the Israeli army stormed the city of Jenin and its camp in the northern West Bank as part of a large-scale military operation, in the largest Israeli military move against the city's Palestinian resistance since the second intifada.
