Today, Saturday, the Yemeni Minister of Defense, Lieutenant Gen. Mohsen Al-Daari, the Chief of the General Staff, Maj. Gen. Sagheer bin Aziz, and the Governor of Taiz Governorate, Nabil Shamsan, survived a drone attack launched by the Houthi militia on their convoy south of Taiz.

The attack resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries among soldiers and escorts.

Sources in the local authority in Taiz governorate revealed that "the Houthi militia launched its air attack on the convoy of military and civilian leaders in the Al-Ma'afer district, south of the governorate, while they were returning from a visit to the city of Al-Mokha, southwest of Taiz."

The bombing of the convoy killed and injured dozens of soldiers and escorts, and damaged several military and civilian vehicles, according to preliminary statistics.

The senior Yemeni official held a meeting yesterday, Friday, with the deputy head of the Presidential Leadership Council in the country, Brig. Gen. Tariq Saleh, to discuss the appropriate means to deal with the military escalation of the Houthi militia, and raise the efficiency of coordination between the various fronts.
