Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak stated, Thursday, that the missiles, which hit Aden airport were launched from areas, controlled by the Houthis, stressing that they aim at resuming this war and rejecting peace efforts.

Bin Mubarak said that information and preliminary investigations affirmed that the Houthi militia carried out this heinous terrorist act, asserting that evidence and the rest of the details will be published upon completing the investigations.

“The government is determined to fulfill its duties and work to restore stability in Yemen,” the foreign minister (FM) added. “This terrorist act will not deter it from that.”

On his part, the Yemeni ambassador to Russia Ahmed Salem Al-Wahishi stated that his country calls on the international community to condemn the recent attack which targeted the country’s government upon its arrival at Aden airport.

In a press statement to ‘Sputnik News agency’, Al-Wahaishi said, “We express our condolences to those who lost their lives, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.”

He added,  “Yemen calls on the international community to condemn this terrorist attack.”

The ambassador also stressed that Yemeni president Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi contacted the government members to make sure that they are all safe, asking them to continue efforts and accomplish tasks in accordance with the Riyadh Agreement.

Earlier Thursday, Yemeni Minister of Health Qassem Buhaibeh announced that the death toll from the attack on Aden International Airport rose to 25.

In a tweet, Buhaibuh said that the attack at the airport killed at least 25 people and wounded 110 others.
