Yehia Khalil performs International Jazz on Stage of Bibliotheca Alexandrine June 26

The Arts Center of the Cultural Communication Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrine (BA) will present a concert by the great Egyptian artist Yehia Khalil, at 8:00 pm on Saturday, 26 June in the Great Hall of the BA Conference Center, accompanied by a group of musicians from different countries across the world.

The music band comprises the Lebanese Andrea Seguin (contrabass), the Egyptian- Canadian on Omar Al-Farouq (guitar), the French Cesar Boychos (saxophone), the Bulgarian Degaima (vocals - violin), the Egyptian-Syrian duo Dina and Ghassan (oud) and for the first time the promising new voice Jaida Al-Khouli.

The program includes a selection of the most famous international jazz compositions.

It is known that Yahya Khalil was the first to introduce jazz music to Egypt and the Middle East and he is the first to mix Egyptian music with jazz music.

His works toured most countries of the world and participated in many international festivals and succeeded in forming a wide audience base of different age groups inside and outside Egypt. Now, more than five thousand concerts in two hundred cities around the world.
