More than a thousand pro-Palestinian Jewish demonstrators closed the Manhattan Bridge in New York to traffic in protest against Israel.
The protesters demanded a ceasefire in Gaza, according to the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.
The demonstrators, many of whom were members of the "Jewish Voice for Peace" movement, wore black clothes and hats and chanted, "New York says no to war," according to Yedioth Ahronoth.
It is worth noting that demonstrators had attacked the Capitol Building, Grand Central Station, and the Statue of Liberty in the past.
The war on Gaza has entered its 51st day, coinciding with violent clashes in the West Bank and Israeli threats to resume aggression on Gaza immediately after the end of the truce.
