Yanni to Perform in Egypt Tonight

Greek composer, Yanni will perform Friday evening at the Mountain View beach resort, in North Coast, Egypt, amid a huge crowd.

The show is carried under the slogan “Yanni by the sea”, which comes as part of his world tour.

He will perform a number of his famous songs, including “thirst for life”, “our days”, “can’t wait”, “what you get” and others.

The concert will take place from 10:00 PM to 01:00 AM (Cairo local time).

Yanni arrived in Egypt on Wednesday to prepare for his upcoming concert.

He announced his arrival via his social media accounts with a snap from inside an Egyptair, and captioned: “Egypt here we come! #egyptair #yannibythesea”.

On July 15, he released the concert promo on his official "YouTube" channel and sent a message to his Egyptian fans.

"Egypt, it’s time to celebrate once again!… I can’t wait to feel the sparks fly, as we all have fun and unite again under the stars this summer!… See you on the beach!… Yanni❤️," he wrote.

This will be the 64-year-old second concert to perform in Egypt.

In 2015, the Greek composer performed his first-ever concert in Egypt at the Great Pyramid of Giza, as well as provided the country with an unrivaled opportunity to promote Egypt abroad.

He filmed a short movie comprised of his visit to the country’s most popular tourist attractions, following an agreement with Egypt's former Tourism Minister Hesham Zaazou.

Noteworthy, Yiannis Chryssomallis, (born on November 14, 1954) known professionally as Yanni, is a Greek composer, keyboardist, pianist, and music producer who has resided in the United States during his adult life.

The keyboardist continues to use the musical shorthand that he developed as a child, blending jazz, classical, soft rock, and world music to create predominantly instrumental works.

He performed in more than 30 countries on five continents and received international recognition for performing concerts at historic monuments such as Greece’s Acropolis,India's Taj Mahal, China's Forbidden City, the United Arab Emirates' Burj Khalifa, Russia's Kremlin, Puerto Rico's El Morro castle, Lebanon's ancient city of Byblos, Tunisia's Roman Theatre of Carthage, India's Laxmi Vilas Palace, the Egyptian pyramids and Great Sphinx of Giza, and the Amman Citadel.
