Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China has consistently taken an objective and impartial stance on the Ukraine crisis and is doing its best for peace negotiations and reconciliation between Moscow and Kyiv.
The Chinese president added that the relations between Russia and China are based on the principles of non-alignment, non-confrontation and non-direction against third parties.
Moreover, he stressed that the bilateral relations between Moscow and Beijing constitute a benchmark for a new type of relations between countries, noting that Russia and China are constantly working to enhance mutual political trust, and are committed to the concept of eternal friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation.
"The current visit to Russia is aimed at promoting friendship and peace," the Chinese president said.
