The third edition of the World Youth Forum ( WYF ), will kick off this evening, under the auspices and presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in Sharm El-Sheikh.

WYF 3rd edition—which is set to run from December (14-17), will address future issues around the world, such as the implications of climate change, and the challenges accompanying rapid, unprecedented technological developments, food security, artificial intelligence, artistic creativity, and women’s empowerment.

More than 300,000 young people from 196 countries are expected to attend the forum.

The forum also aims to bring participants from all over the world to send a message of peace, prosperity, harmony, and progress to the entire world.

“The 3rd WYF will be attended by influential global leaders, heads of state, young men and public figures,” according to the first press release issued by the WYF.

The 2019 forum will discuss new and urgent topics such as good security, climate change, and artificial intelligence.

“The Food Security issue tops the Forum’s agenda…It’s an opportunity for a mutual global work to eliminate the shortage of food, in addition to combating malnutrition,” the statement read.

The forum will tackle the fourth industrial revolution, artificial intelligence and BlockChain technology.

Moreover, the 2019 WYF agenda embraces other urgent topics such as women empowerment and their role in the society, along with arts and cinema.

In November 2017, the first edition of the WYF was held in Sharm El Sheikh. More than 3000 young people from 113 countries took part in that event.
