WYF 4th Edition... Must-Know Facts about Registration

The World Youth Forum (WYF) announced the extension of the registration period for the participation of young people from all over the world in the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum.

The 4th edition of the WYF will kick off its activities in Sharm El-Sheikh during the period from 10 to 13 next January, under the patronage and presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

As the registration to attend and participate in the WYF's activities was scheduled to end on December 15, after it lasted for a whole month, due to the high demand for the forum this year, and in the desire of the forum administration to give the opportunity to participate for more young people of the world, the WYF decided to extend the registration period for the end of this week on the official website of the forum www.wyfegypt.com.

The World Youth Forum is an annual global event held in Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai, under the auspices of  President Sisi.

The forum was launched in three editions in the past years 2017, 2018, and 2019. It aims to bring together the world's youth in order to promote dialogue and discuss development issues, and to send a message of peace and prosperity from Egypt to the world.

The United Nations Commission for Social Development has adopted the three previous editions of the World Youth Forum in Egypt as an international platform for discussing youth issues.

On February 16, the UNCSocD approved the resolution, which was sponsored by Egypt and submitted by Senegal, Cape Verde, Portugal and Kazakhstan, including a special reference to the three editions of the WYF that was launched in Sharm el-Sheikh in 2017 as an international platform to discuss youth issues.

Egypt’s Permanent Representative to the UN Mohamed Idris stated that youths’ issues were currently a top priority on the UN agenda. 

“It also comes as a recognition to the contributions of the three editions of the forum which tackled contemporary issues related to youth and their role in achieving the 2030 sustainable development agenda,” Idris added.

The WYF is an opportunity to communicate with major decision-makers and thinkers around the world. It is also an opportunity to get to know a perse group of promising young people from different nationalities around the world, young people with a dream, will and determination to make a real change in today’s world and tomorrow’s world.

A 3-year-old experience has directed the attention of the whole world to the cities of Egypt.

The activities of the forum, in its three editions, which began in 2017, witnessed the presentation of a new and perse set of issues and challenges on the discussion table in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and a number of decision-makers around the world.

The beginning was on April 25, 2017, when a group of Egyptian youth presented, during the National Youth Conference in Ismailia, their initiative to conduct a dialogue with world youth.

Immediately, President Sisi responded by announcing his call to all young people from different countries of the world, to express their views and their vision for the future of their homelands and for the whole world.

The WYF was held for the first time in November 2017. Since then, the opportunity has become available for young people to network with senior decision-makers, and to communicate with promising young people from the region and all over the world, intent on making the world a better place for all.

In the forum, a perse group of attendees participated; Including heads of state and government, international youth leaders, inspiring youth in various fields, eminent international personalities and youth groups from all over the world.
