Li Tow Whu, an official in Wuhan city, in the center of China, said that the health authorities in the city plan to examine all populations there to reassure non-infection with the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Wuhan was the epicenter of the deadly virus, where the first infection was detected there later in 2019.
The new measurements come after spotting three new confirmed cases in the city yesterday, Monday.
On the other hand, the National Committee for Health in China revealed that the mainland reported 90 new infections with COVID-19 today, Tuesday, compared with 98 infections on Monday.
The Chinese committee made clear that sixty-one infections were local; meanwhile, thirty- seven were detected with foreigners who came to the country.
Forty-one cases were registered as without symptoms as the health authorities in China classify such cases as confirmed infected with COVID-19.
It is worth noting that the total infections in China reached 93 thousand cases but the death toll is still 4636 cases.
However, the health authorities in China have detected a new wave of Coronavirus in the country.
These authorities warn that the new strain is the worst after that strain was detected in Wuhan in December 2019.
The Chinese officials on July 30 announced the spread of a new wave of COVID-19, starting from Nanjing Airport, the capital of Jiangsu Province in eastern China.
The new wave of infections has extended to Beijing, the capital city of China, and 5 other provinces.
They considered that strain the most serious prevalent after Wuhan’s virus.
The local media in China indicated that since the discovery of the first confirmed case of the latest wave on July 20 at Nanjing Lukou International Airport; nearly 200 infections have been reported as of Thursday morning.
Local sources continued to say that compared to the previous waves of local virus resurgence that were usually limited to one or a few nearby cities, t but the Nanjing epidemic occurred in a crowded international airport, and passengers across the territory traveling long distances quickly carried the virus across the country to places including Sichuan in the southwest of the country, and Liaoning in the northeast of China.
