Tlaib signals she won't visit Israel after all despite getting permission

Israel’s interior minister tore into U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib on Friday for abruptly canceling plans to visit family in the West Bank after the government granted permission for the trip in a bid to smooth over a diplomatic firestorm.

Hong Kong officials deny protesters a permit for Sunday march

Hong Kong officials have denied permits for a march organized this Sunday by the same group that coordinated massive marches earlier this summer.

Bonnie Lueng, spokesperson for the Civil Human Rights Front (CHRF), said the group's appeal to march from Victoria Park to Chater Garden was denied Friday. This was the first large march to be organized following the protests at Hong Kong's airport earlier this week. (CNN)
