A delegation from the World Bank visited Minya Governorate to follow up on the economic blocs projects targeted by the current phase, which include Minya and Assiut Governorates.
The program is one of the most important projects funded by the Egyptian government, with a contribution from the World Bank, and aims to enhance comprehensive development in Upper Egypt.
The visit included a review of the activities that will be implemented within the program, which focus on creating sustainable job opportunities, supporting competitiveness, developing the national economy, and improving the quality of public services. The achievements made during the past period were also evaluated, with a discussion of the requirements of the next phase and the latest developments in implementation.
The attendees stressed the importance of field follow-up of projects and the need to prepare for a performance evaluation that reflects the remarkable progress in implementing the program within the governorate, in accordance with the ongoing directives of Emad Kadwani, Governor of Minya, to ensure that the program's objectives are achieved in line with sustainable development standards.
