In coordination with the World Bank office in Egypt, the Ministry of International Cooperation began arranging a visit for a high-level delegation of the World Bank’s executives to Egypt in January.

The delegation’s visit program will include several meetings with Prime Minister, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, and ministers from the Economic Group, to discuss the priorities of the Egyptian economic reform program during the next stage, and the structural and legislative reforms that will be undertaken to increase the empowerment of the private sector and provide employment opportunities for youth.

In light of the Egyptian government's keenness on greater participation of the private sector in the development, the Ministry of International Cooperation is making arrangements to meet the delegation with the private sector, in order to get acquainted with the expected role of this sector as a major driver of economic growth in Egypt.

The Ministry is also arranging meetings for the delegation with entrepreneurs to get acquainted with their emerging projects and the role that the government plays in enabling them economically to contribute to achieving the goals of sustainable development.

Moreover, the delegation will visit a number of development projects in the fields of Renewable energy and social protection.

Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat will meet the delegation to discuss future cooperation between Egypt and the World Bank.

The minister pointed out that Egypt is working to deepen the level of partnership with the World Bank during the coming years, as part of its efforts to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
