A South African woman who claimed to deliver ten babies at one time detained by the authorities, media agencies reported on Thursday.
The woman was accused by her partner after revealing that he didn't see his babies at all. In addition, he suspected the presence of any kids.
On the other hand, she refuted his myth and accused him of seeking fortune by receiving international financial aids.
Gosiame Thamara Sithole, 37, claimed that she gave birth to seven boys and three girls by a cesarian way at a hospital in Pretoria, one of the three major cities in the state.
She added that she broke the previous Guinness World Record carried by Milian Halima Cisse who delivered nine babies at one time in Morocco last year.
Therefore, the South African government highlighted that there is no real evidence for such an incident. Also, the hospital denied receiving Sithole and her ten babies.
The spokesperson of the government said in a statement: “The government has been unable to verify the authenticity of these births at any of our facilities.”
