U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced that the United States is working on an agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine "once and for all," with further progress expected in the coming weeks.
Writing on the "X" platform, Witkoff stated: "We continue to make significant progress in working toward a peace agreement that ends the war permanently. Discussions are ongoing, and more progress is expected in the weeks ahead."
This comes following a round of trilateral negotiations between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine held in Geneva on February 17 and 18.
After the session, the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, announced that arrangements are being made for a new meeting in the near future.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that there is "no clarity yet regarding the date and location" of the next round of negotiations.
