Two senior Israeli officials stated on Monday that U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to visit Israel for meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the military chief of staff.
According to Reuters, the officials clarified that Witkoff’s visit is expected to commence on Tuesday.
The visit comes amid escalating regional tensions with Iran and as President Donald Trump’s administration moves forward with its plan to bring an end to the war on Gaza.
