The U.N. secretary general's special adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, attended on Wednesday, the Libyan Joint Military Committee (5+5) meeting, which was held at its permanent headquarters in Sirte city.
"Very happy to be back in Sirte today to meet with the members of the Joint Military Committee (5+5). We discussed the JMC efforts in operationalizing the action plan that was signed last October," Williams tweeted.
"I commended the progress made on the release of the detainees and the committee’s efforts and plan for the reopening of the Abu Qurain Road and Al Jufra," she added.

Moreover, she also reiterated the readiness of the UN and international partners to provide the required technical support and expertise to the JMC through the Ceasefire Monitoring Component team on the ground.
