Will the wound ever heal?

Palestine remains the deep wound in the heart of the Arab nation and the Islamic world. Will the wound ever heal? With the escalation of the Palestinian crisis and Trump's recent statements about displacing the Palestinians and turning Gaza into the Riviera of the Middle East, Arab moves led by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi came as a beacon of hope in the midst of darkness, an attempt to stop the Palestinian bleeding and restore life to the remains of the destroyed homes and grieving hearts.

These moves were not just statements or diplomatic positions, but rather practical steps, from insisting on rejecting Trump’s statements and holding the emergency Arab summit in Cairo, then the ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, where a clear Arab and Islamic vision was put in place, to supporting Palestine and rebuilding Gaza.

Egypt's plan to rebuild Gaza is not limited to reconstruction only, but also emphasizes that Palestinians will remain on their lands, in addition to the establishment of an independent committee to govern the Strip, and training Palestinian security cadres to assume responsibility for maintaining security, as the peace cannot be achieved without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. Egypt will host an international conference to rebuild Gaza next month.

In a step that supports Egypt's vision, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held an emergency meeting in Jeddah, during which it announced its adoption of the Egyptian plan, stressing that supporting Egypt's plan is an absolute necessity, amid the importance of securing the necessary funding to ensure the success of the plan, within an integrated political and economic framework that aims to achieve the vision of the two-state solution.

I believe that unifying visions, supporting the Egyptian plan, and the unity of the Arabs and Islamic countries will support the Egyptian plan and impose it on the entire world, especially US, which is taking an unjust stance, insisting on the forced displacement of a people whose only crime is that they are defending their land and their right to life.

The Arabs will not allow the usurpation of the rights of the Palestinian people or their forced displacement from their land. Reconstruction will be with the participation of everyone, and with the presence of the Palestinians on their land, and no one will accept their uprooting from their homeland. No right will be lost if there is someone demanding it. Will the wound ever heal?
