Wijnaldum in Deep Talks to Join Rome

Several reports claimed on Friday that Paris Saint-Germain midfilder Gini Wijnaldum came close to moving to Rome.

In 2021, Wijnaldum moved to PSG on a free transfer from Liverpool, signing a three-year deal with the Ligue 1 club.

Wijnaldum left Liverpool at the end of 2021 season after choosing not to sign an extension to his contract at Anfield.

Since joining PSG, he failed to fulfill the expectations at the Parc des Princes, which makes his moving to Rome so close.

According to Marca, "The relationship between Al-Khelaifi and Dan Friedkin, could also help facilliate the deal."
