The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) dismissed national team head coach Carlos Queiroz from his position after failing to qualify for the World Cup.
The decision came after the Portuguese coach failed to guide the Pharaohs to claim any title or even qualify for the World Cup, which was the main reason and goal behind appointing Queiroz.
Overall, Queiroz won 13 games with the national team, drew in two, and suffered five defeats, two of which came in the Arab Cup.
Who will succeed Queiroz ?
A Ehab El Komi, a member in the EFA's board of directors, said that duo Hossam Hassan and Ehad Galal has been nominated to lead the Pharaohs in the upcoming period.
He also added that the nominees for succeeding Queiroz will be Hossam Hassan, Ehab Galal, and Ahmed Samy.
