The senior officials of the World Health Organization (WHO) expressed concern at possibilities of spreading Coronavirus, the deadly virus which broke out in China last December, in the poor countries.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the WHO, said during a news conference to review the developments of spreading of the deadly virus, that injuries of the virus outside China are 191 infections.
Ghebreyesus confirmed that the number of injuries in China exceeded 28 thousand cases.
Ghebreyesus pointed out that 80% of infections were in Hubie province in the middle part of China.
He assured that the infection did not spread to the other districts in mainland China.
He revealed that the organization has sent more than 500 thousand masks to China and 40 thousand breathing devices to the inflicted nations across the world.
He urged governments of the countries across the globe to take strict and detailed measurements to face the danger of the deadly virus.
On the other hand, the management of the WHO promised to send teams of health experts to help their Chinese colleagues in finding an effective vaccine to fight the virus.
The director general addressed the executive body of the WHO affiliated to the United Nations ( UN) days ago.
The director genera affirmed that masks, devices, and vestments would be sent to 24 developing nations to help them cope with the danger of the virus.
Twenty-two nations took preventive steps linked to trade and travel to keep the virus away from their borders.
WHO urged those states that those measurements should be in place for a limited time.
The organization also asks some states to revise the precautious steps from time to time.
Ghebreyesus warned that excessive preventive measurements may lead to panic across the world without any positive results.
Chin Shu, China’s Ambassador to the UN in Geneva, said that some restraints imposed by those states abuse instructions of the WHO.
Those states imposed travel ban to visitors who visited China with a couple of weeks, suspended flights and abolished entry visas.
