WHO Praises Egypt's Measures to Counter Corona (Video)

The World Health Organization (WHO)'s Representative in Egypt John Jabbour thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Health Minister Dr. Hala Zayed for their professional dealing with emerging Coronavirus pandemic.

This came during a press conference held on Monday in the presence of Journalists' syndicate head Diaa Rashwan to respond to all rumors related to Coronavirus in Egypt.

Jabbour added that Egypt is paying great attention to its citizens' health through launching various key initiatives.

Moreover, the WHO official expects the new Corunavirus crisis to continue until a vaccine is developed and widely distributed.

Egypt, like any other country hit by this virus, is facing many challenges, including, coordination between all concerned sectors, strengthening the health system response to "Covid-19", and the optimal use of its resources, according to Jabbour.

In this regard, he stressed that the WHO is working closely with the Ministry of Health and Population to face these challenges and overcome this crisis.

Jabbour has also urged Egyptians to cooperate with the state and to strictly follow precautionary measures, including social distancing and home isolation, affirming that the Egyptian state has spared no efforts, money or knowledge to fight the virus.

It is worth mentioning that, Egypt has so far registered 2065, including 159 deaths.
