The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Friday that the number of casualties in Lebanon from March 2 to June 4 has reached 14,259 people, including 10,733 wounded.

The announcement comes amid a military escalation by Israel in southern Lebanon, despite Washington's previous announcement that Lebanon and Israel had reached a ceasefire agreement.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the death toll from Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon since dawn today has reached 10 dead and 16 wounded.

This toll is preliminary and subject to increase as search and rescue operations continue alongside ongoing airstrikes.
