Today, Friday, the World Health Organization (WHO) revealed that there is a very serious problem related to new strains of the emerging Coronavirus, which will exacerbate the severity of the pandemic that humanity is suffering from nowadays.

The organization confirmed, in a statement issued today, Friday, that there are infections with the new Coronavirus strains detected in both the United Kingdom (UK) and South Africa despite the presence of antibodies in patients.

The chief scientist of the organization, Sumiya Swaminathan, said in a statement she gave today that the organization has data indicating the presence of patients who have been infected with new strains of the Coronavirus after they recover from the deadly virus despite the presence of antibodies to the virus in their bodies.

According to Swaminathan: "We are now receiving reports of re-infection with a new strain of the virus. There are initial reports from South Africa indicating that people who have already recovered may be infected again."

The organization indicated that, at present, studies are being conducted on the amount of immunity to the virus in people who have already contracted the disease.

However, among those vaccinated, the vast majority carry the virus only mildly.

She confirmed that there is preliminary evidence that vaccination reduces the virulence of the virus, and that vaccination would reduce infection with the virus that causes "COVID- 19" disease.
